When will my card money arrive?
Each POS and card terminal pays out on its own schedule. Here's how Maitaki works out the day, and why weekends and holidays move it.
Also known as: deposit date · bank holiday · weekend · settlement time · next business day · payout day · how long · funding time · when do i get paid · federal holiday · late deposit
Card money doesn’t reach your bank the day you take it. Maitaki works out the day each deposit should land and shows it on the Deposits tab as expected. The rule depends on what your card sales come through.
How long each one takes
| Your card sales come through | The deposit lands |
|---|---|
| Toast | 2 calendar days after the sales day. Toast pays on weekends and holidays too, so Friday’s sales land on Sunday. |
| A Valor card terminal | The next bank day after the batch closes. A batch closed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday lands on Monday. |
| Clover or Loyverse | About 2 bank days after the sales day. This is an estimate, marked ≈, because Clover and Loyverse don’t share their deposits with Maitaki. |
A bank day is a weekday that isn’t a Federal Reserve holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, banks close on the Monday after it.
See which days the banks are closed
On Deposits, Landing this week shows the next seven days. A bank holiday gets its own card with the holiday’s name and banks closed. Weekends with nothing landing are left out.
Why one deposit after a weekend is bigger
With a Valor terminal, or with Clover and Loyverse, nothing lands on a weekend. The weekend’s money lands together on the next bank days instead:
- Valor: Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s batches all land on Monday.
- Clover and Loyverse: Thursday’s sales land on Monday, and Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s land on Tuesday.

Common questions
The expected day passed and the money isn't there.
Banks sometimes post a deposit a day later than the processor sends it. Check again on the next bank day. If it still hasn’t arrived, contact your card processor with the date and amount Maitaki shows.
Which day counts as the sales day?
Your business day, which ends at the time set for your location. A sale at 1:00 AM can belong to the night before. See Set your business day and timezone.
Can I change how many days a deposit takes?
Not in the app. If your deposits always land on a different day than Maitaki expects, contact support with a few examples.
What about DoorDash and other apps?
They pay on their own schedule, never inside a card deposit. See Track delivery-app payouts.
