Help Sales & POS

Connect your Clover POS

Link Clover so every order and payment flows into Maitaki, with your full history filled in from the start.

Who can do this OwnerAdminManager Checked against the app November 5, 2026

Once Clover is connected, your sales show up in Maitaki on their own: every order, payment and refund, matched to the day it belongs to. Maitaki only ever reads from Clover. It can’t change anything there.

You’ll need two things from your Clover Dashboard: your Merchant ID and an API token.

Get your details from Clover

  1. Sign in to your Clover Dashboard on a computer.
  2. Your Merchant ID is shown under your business name, for example WNXGQT8NNMXC1. Copy it somewhere handy.
  3. Go to Setup → API Tokens and create a new token. Copy it straight away.

Keep the token private. Anyone with it can read your sales. Maitaki stores it write-only, which means nobody, including us, can view it again after you save it.

Connect it in Maitaki

  1. Tap your location and avatar at the top right, then Settings.

  2. Tap the location you’re connecting, then Sales under Connections.

  3. Tap Connect a sales source, then Clover.

The Add a sales source list: Toast, Clover, Loyverse and Valor
  4. Give it an Account label so you can tell it apart later, like Front counter.

  5. Paste your Merchant ID and API Key.

  6. Tap Test connection. You should see Connected ✓ with your business name.

  7. Tap Save & backfill full history.

Maitaki starts pulling in your past orders straight away. Recent days appear within minutes; older history fills in over the next while.

Check your timezone matches

After the test, Maitaki shows the timezone Clover uses. Make sure your location in Maitaki uses the same one, or late-night sales can land on the wrong day. See Set your business day and timezone.

How often it updates

  • Every day at the time shown next to Daily on the account card. You can change it.
  • Whenever you open Sales, if it’s been more than 15 minutes since the last update.
  • Any time you like, with the sync button on the account card.

Common questions

Do my Maitaki totals match Clover's own reports?

Yes. Each day is worked out the way Clover’s Sales Overview does it: an order counts on the day of its first payment, refunds count on the day they happen, and gift cards are included in net sales. If a day doesn’t match, email us with the date.

Why are my deposits marked as estimated?

Clover doesn’t share batch or fee details, so Maitaki estimates each day’s card deposit from that day’s card sales, landing two bank days later. The exact amount after fees settles at your bank.

I made a new API token. How do I update it?

Support content coming soon. Email support@maitaki.ai and we’ll walk you through it.

Can I disconnect Clover?

You can Pause it from the account card, which stops new updates. Your history stays. To remove it completely, email us.
