Chat stopped or shows an error
What each Chat error means, how to ask again with Retry, and what the (000) message is.

Sometimes an answer in Chat doesn’t finish. Nothing you asked for is changed when that happens, and asking again starts fresh. Here’s what each message means.
When you see Retry
If an answer fails while you’re watching, a red note appears under your question with Retry next to it. Tap Retry to ask the same question again.

| Network error — check your connection and try again. | Your phone lost its connection. Check you have a signal or Wi-Fi, then tap Retry. |
| Connection dropped mid-answer. Try again. | The connection broke while the answer was coming in. Tap Retry. |
| The assistant hit an error. Try again. | Something went wrong on our side with that answer. Tap Retry. Asking in different words can help. |
| Sorry, there’s an issue with our AI system (000), please try again later | See below. |
When you see Cut off
An answer can stop before it finishes, for example after you leave Chat while it’s being worked out. You’ll then see a Cut off card under your question. It says This answer stopped before it finished, often with how long it ran, and that Nothing was changed.
Tap Tap to retry to ask again.
The (000) message
Sorry, there’s an issue with our AI system (000), please try again later means Maitaki’s AI isn’t available right now. It’s a problem on our side, not with your account or your question.
Wait a while and try again. You may see the same message anywhere Maitaki reads or answers, such as the Telegram bot. The rest of the app, like your sales, invoices and reports, keeps working.

Common questions
Did Retry make the change twice?
No. Chat never changes anything until someone taps Approve on a suggestion. See Approve or discard what Chat suggests.
The answer keeps spinning and never arrives.
Leave Chat and open it again. If the answer is still being worked out, it shows when it’s ready. If it stopped, you’ll see Cut off with Tap to retry.
An invoice says it couldn't be read.
